# Hazy Wallet

## What is Hazy Wallet?

Hazy Wallet is your personal bank that allows you to privately store and spend your crypto assets.

### Background

Every on-chain transaction you make includes sensitive data about your wallet (i.e., sender, receiver, amounts, etc.). The existing practices to achieve payment privacy rely on using custodial services (CEXes) or privacy-oriented solutions like Mixers.

However, there are certain drawbacks to both of these options. In one case, your assets are stored by the custodian, opening it to the possibility of hacker attacks, while the usage of mixers is associated with compliance issues.

So how does one make the transfers confidential without resorting to custodial services? This is where the **Hazy Wallet** comes in.

### Private transfers with Hazy

With Hazy, you can deposit any supported crypto that you have to your personal balance and use it to make private payments. Transactions will not contain your financial info, as the platform is powered by zero-knowledge tech.

To verify your ownership, you will sign in with a non-custodial wallet (i.e., MetaMask), thus, allowing you to retain the custody of your funds.

### Cross-chain interoperability

In the future, with the addition of cross-chain functionality, Hazy Wallet will enable you to transfer between various chains without disclosing your private info. This will add an extra layer of security and privacy, elevating the user experience.
